I know we’re nearly into mid July but better late than never right? I’ve been away on holidays and am currently looking for a full time job so I’m a little behind…
I want to talk about my June favourites, I want to try not to talk about my holy grail products, but as this is my first favourites I’m going to do what I like so here goes, it’s a bit of a mix:
Tanya burr always used to rave about this foundation, and of course when you love a YouTuber you literally buy everything they say is amazing. I saw Ravishing Roses blog about this a few weeks ago and it’s so true!
So this is my holy grail foundation, whenever anyone asks me what is the best for a dewy finish I always recommend this and have always had happy shoppers. I wear Santa Fe
It’s got great coverage, meaning it hides blemishes well, but also looks light and dewy (opposite to my old fav Mac studio fix). It’s quite pricy but I would say it’s definitely worth it. Don’t forget to buy the pump too, the buggers don’t come with it. It is only £3 (besides the point) but means you wont waste a load of it.
Tanya Burr Afternoon Tea Lipgloss
Talking of Tanya Burr (the lady who got me into all of this), I’m loving her lip gloss, Afternoon Tea at the moment. I was wearing it over the top of YSL rouge volupte no.1, but I’ve realised it’s so pigmented and similar in colour that I don’t need to wear both. Now I keep my YSL for more special occasions when I want to pull a killer lipstick out of my bag in public!
Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil
If you saw my blog ‘Do I look like Kim K yet?’ you’d have seen that I’m loving this to contour with. It’s light and buildable, and the perfect colour for light skin (yes, I know I’ve been on holiday twice this month but I’m still pretty pale in the grand scheme of things). And yes, it’s another of my holy grail products.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in medium brown.
If you follow my Instagram you’ll know about the absolute flap I had getting this, the £40 in postage I ended up paying for this product (& the cream contour kit)! This brand needs to be more accessible in the UK!
Anyway, back to the actual product. It’s amazing. It’s changed my eyebrow game so much. It’s a creamy consistency instead of the power I used to use, a tiny bit goes such a long way and it hold your brows in place too. Loads of bloggers I follow swear by it too, so it’s not just me. Be carful when ordering from the UK though because they’ll get you on postage on their website. I bought the other contour kit from feel unique, and that was just normal postage. But of course I wanted to be one of the first in the UK to get it and went direct as they didn’t have it anywhere else.
Too Face Juicy Melons Lipstick
I think I bought this because I liked the name originally, I’m a sucker for names and packaging! It’s a pinky coral lipstick, pigmented but still a nice glaze so doesn’t dry your lips out like some others do. Excuse the photo, it may have been through the washing machine once or twice 🙈. It’s great for summer, looks amazing with a tan too, much better than when I’m at my palest.
My first ever favourites, how exciting!
